Key Features of the iPhone 16e
The iPhone 16e (which was originally rumored as the “iPhone SE 4”) features a modern design and powerful internal components.
- Design: The device has a modern, flat-edge design similar to the iPhone 14, including an all-screen 6.1-inch display with a notch. This marks a departure from the older, home-button design of previous iPhone SE models. It includes Face ID for biometric authentication instead of Touch ID.
- Display: It features a 6.1-inch Super Retina XDR OLED display (460 ppi density) with Ceramic Shield protection, a major upgrade from the LCD screens in prior SE models.
- Performance: The iPhone 16e is powered by the same A18 Bionic chip found in the flagship iPhone 16 series, enabling support for all Apple Intelligence features.
- Camera: It is equipped with a single-lens 48-megapixel wide-angle rear camera, a significant upgrade over the previous 12-megapixel sensor. The front camera is a 12-megapixel lens in the notch.
- Connectivity and Battery: It supports 5G networks and features a USB-C port for charging. The battery life is substantially improved, with a capacity nearly double that of the prior model, and it supports MagSafe wireless charging.
- Software: The phone originally shipped with iOS 18.3 and is upgradable to the latest iOS 26.
